KALAMAZOO — Former Hesperia Panther three-sport athlete Scott Peters III is expected to be a starting linebacker for the Kalamazoo College Hornets this fall.

Peters enters his senior year at Kalamazoo College after playing three seasons for the Hornets.

He was a standout at Hesperia in football, basketball, and baseball, graduating in the top 10 of his class. He has excelled academically at K College and was part of a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s record-setting GPA football team last season.

“Scott endured several injuries early in his career, but he has contributed to our defensive and special teams units since his freshman season,” said Kalamazoo College Head Football Coach Jamie Zorbo.

“We are excited to see him end his playing career on a high note this season. He is a phenomenal person and teammate who loves the game of football and does everything the right way. Scott is expected to be a starter and leader on our defense this fall.”

“He contributed right away as a freshman in special teams and has earned a larger role on defense over the last two years,” said his father Scott Peters, Jr.

The 5’11”, 205-pound linebacker has played 10 games for the Hornets, completing 11 total tackles including seven solo tackles. Peters is a business major at Kalamazoo College.

Peters (#42) faces off with an opponent.
