27th Circuit Court sentencings, July 30, 2021.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 27th Circuit Court:

Smith

– William Jack Smith, 37, of 804 Vine St., Manistee, was found guilty May 17 of methamphetamine possession and was sentenced July 26 to 10 months in jail and $398 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Joesph (actual spelling) Crus Pulsipher, 25, of 1464 N. 100th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty May 17 of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and was sentenced July 26 to four months in jail with credit for 179 days served; two years probation; and $458 in fines and costs. A second count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and one misdemeanor count of trespassing were dismissed. In a separate case, Pulsipher pleaded “no contest” to third-degree home invasion and was sentenced to 10 months in jail with credit for 139 days served in jail; two years probation; and $398 in fines and costs. One felony count of second-degree home invasion was dismissed.

Pulsipher

– Dominique Niccolas Hampton, 22, of 2684 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty May 17 of methamphetamine possession and carrying a concealed weapon and was sentenced July 26 to 45 days in jail with credit for three days served; 18 months probation; and $526 in fines and costs. The drug conviction is reportable to SOS. “The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office seized a double-bladed non-folding knife,” states court records. “Pursuant to MCL 750.239, this weapon must be forfeited to the police agency.”
