WEARE TOWNSHIP — An elderly woman in her 80s was transported by Life EMS to an area hospital following a three-car crash at the intersection of Oceana Drive and Monroe Road Tuesday, July 13, around 3 p.m., according to Michigan State Police Trooper Margaret Gazaryants.

A Jeep, a Chevrolet Impala and a Mazda were involved in the crash, which closed Oceana Drive in the vicinity of the scene.

The injured woman was in the Impala, said Trooper Gazaryants.

Few details were immediately available as the crash is being investigated.

Four people were involved in the crash, and the others were treated at the scene.

Firefighters from Hart and Pentwater departments assisted as well as deputies from the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash was the third one on Oceana Drive in less than a week, including a fatal accident Friday morning, July 9, in Hart Township.
