Police busy with drunk driving arrests over the weekend.
The following is police activity in Oceana County over the weekend:
Friday, July 9, 2021:
- 1:30 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 29-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for domestic assault, 6000 block of East Garfield Road, Greenwood Township.
- 12:40 p.m., (MSP), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, Polk Road and 56th Avenue, Golden Township.
Saturday, July 10, 2021:
- 12:45 a.m., (MSP), a 69-year-old Pentwater man was arrested for operating while intoxicated (OWI), Hogan Road and North 66th Avenue, Weare Township.
- 1:13 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 24-year-old Fruitport man was arrested for OWI, East Skeels Road, Greenwood Township.
- 3:20 p.m., (MSP), a 39-year-old Pentwater man was arrested for OWI, Madison Road and North 126th Avenue, Crystal Township.
- 3:48 p.m., (OCSO), a 57-year-old Mears man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS) and no insurance, North 34th Avenue, Golden Township.
Sunday, July 11, 2021:
- 5:13 a.m., (OCSO), disturbing the peace, South 56th Avenue, Claybanks Township.
- 1:22 p.m., (OCSO), assault and battery, South Hancock Street, Village of Pentwater.
- 9:21 a.m., (OCSO), assault and battery and damage to property involving a juvenile, South Oceana Drive, Shelby Township. The report has been turned over to the juvenile court.
