Water Safety Day canceled due to weather.

PENTWATER – The third annual Oceana County Water Safety Day scheduled for Saturday, June 26, has been canceled due to rainy weather.

It was slated take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pentwater Municipal Marina. Water Safety Day had originally been scheduled for last Saturday, June 19, but had to be re-scheduled due to rain last weekend.

“There is a 90 percent chance of rain all morning and afternoon long,” said Oceana County Sheriff’s Deputy Tim Simon, head of the marine division, who organizes the event. “It’s going to be re-scheduled for June of 2022.”
