New Era Farmers Market kicks off June 22.

NEW ERA — The 2021 New Era Farmers Market kicks off Tuesday, June 22, in the parking lot of the New Era Christian Reformed Church, at 1820 Ray Ave.

There will be 41 vendors offering a wide selection of produce, crafts, artisan creations and more.

The market runs from 4-7 p.m. The Kids Power of Produce Club for ages 4-12 will have a free bike rodeo starting at 4 p.m. Bring your bike to participate. Bicycle helmets will be given away — and fitted — to the first 25 kids. There will be drawings at 5 p.m. to give away two new bikes.

The bike rodeo and other programs are sponsored by Mercy Health Injury Prevention, an anonymous donor, the Youth Fund of the Community Foundation for Oceana County, and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.

The band, the Root Doctor, will perform from 5-7 p.m. On site supplying dinner will be Deb’s Cafe from Shelby, Papa J’s Chili Dogs from Muskegon, and Witty’s Italian style food truck from Montague.
