HART — A 43-year-old Mears man pleaded guilty to a high-court misdemeanor of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) in 27th Circuit Monday, June 14.

Emilto Moreno-Gomez, of 2235 N. 56th Ave., testified before Judge Robert D. Springstead that three incidents occurred during a time period between March 1, 2010 to Jan. 1, 2014 in Elbridge Township.

Moreno-Gomez testified that he had sexual contact with a male child between the ages of 13-15. Three counts of third-degree CSC will be dismissed in exchange for his guilty plea to fourth-degree CSC.

Moreno-Gomez testified that he touched the boy’s penis. 

His conviction could affect his US citizenship status, said the judge. 

Sentencing is set for Sept. 20 at 9 a.m.
