Hart woman arrested after allegedly biting man, striking officer.

HART — A 23-year-old Hart woman was arrested by the Hart Police Department for domestic assault and resisting arrest Sunday, May 9, shortly before 1 a.m. in the 400 block of Dryden Street after allegedly biting a man on the wrist and striking a police officer several times, according to Hart Police Chief Juan Salazar.

“The woman had assaulted a 27-year-old Hart man by biting the man on the right wrist area,” said Chief Salazar.  “During the arrest, the woman also assaulted the responding officer by striking the officer several times.”

The woman was lodged at the Oceana County Jail. The Hart Police Department was assisted by the Shelby Police Department and the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.
