Aggravated assault arrest tops police activity.
The following is activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend:
Saturday, April 24, 2021:
- 2:38 a.m., a 43-year-old New Era man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), West Baseline Road, Shelby Township.
- 3:53 a.m., a 20-year-old Walkerville man was arrested for operating while intoxicated (OWI), North 168th Avenue, Leavitt Township.
- 9:32 p.m., a 75-year-old Holton man was arrested for aggravated assault, East Skeels Road, Greenwood Township. He allegedly pointed a shotgun at someone, but no injuries occurred.
Sunday, April 25, 2021:
- 3:30 a.m., a 23-year-old Sparta man was arrested for OWI, West McKinley Road, Grant Township.
- 10:38 a.m., damage to property, North 88th Avenue, Weare Township. Trees were cut and removed from the property.
- 3:21 p.m., possible gas drive-off of $34 in fuel, Wishing Well, North Business US 31, Pentwater Township.
