Man found unconscious in rest area bathroom from possible drug overdose.

GRANT TOWNSHIP — A 32-year-old Scottville man was found unconscious in a rest room stall at the Rothbury rest area on northbound US 31 Sunday night, April 11, after possibly using an intravenous drug, said Lt. Shane Hasty of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.  

The man re-gained consciousness, but refused medical treatment.

No drugs were located, but an empty syringe was found, said Hasty. When the call was dispatched at 10:38 p.m., it was reported that the man had a belt around his arm.

Life EMS also responded to the scene.
