Expect US 31 closures Tuesday.
SHELBY TOWNSHIP — Total lane closures are planned on US 31 south of Buchanan Road Tuesday, April 6, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. so power lines can be pulled across the highway, according to Michigan Department of Transportation Communications Representative John Richard.
“Wolverine Power (Cooperative) needs a few 10-minute total closures for pulling lines across US 31,” said Richard.
It will affect both northbound and southbound lanes, and the project is weather-dependent.
MDOT has placed signs along US 31 alerting motorists of possible traffic back-ups Tuesday.
