78th District Court sentencings, March 23, 2021.

HART — The following were recently sentenced in 78th District Court:
- Dale Edward Aho, 39, of 7839 S. 100th Ave., Rothbury, was found guilty March 15 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $375 in fines and costs.
- Carlos Miguel Silva, 34, of 395 Elm St., Shelby, was found guilty March 15 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to $485 in fines and costs. One count of domestic violence was dismissed.
- Curtis Daniel Small, 39, of 60 N. 88th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty March 10 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $350 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
- Ashley Jo Williams, 27, of 149 E. 5th St., Shelby, was found guilty March 15 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,090 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Stephen Michael Smiddy, 41, of 18385 Jamestown Cir., Northville, Michigan, was found guilty March 15 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail; $850 in restitution; and $325 in fines and costs.
- James Darrell Frees, 36, of 5081 Dowling St., Montague, was found guilty March 18 of taking/possessing undersize bass or pike and was sentenced to $325 in fines and costs.
- Jarrett Andre Savoie, 37, of 3238 Charles St., Muskegon, was found guilty March 18 of taking/possessing undersize bass or pike and was sentenced to $325 in fines and costs.
- Abigail Lafay Ashbrook, 27, of 64 S. Michigan Ave., Shelby, was found guilty March 18 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Eric William Tatro, 26, of 7251 Progress Rd., Twin Lake, was found guilty March 18 of violation of a restricted license and was sentenced to $500 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Fred William Wenk, 71, of 2380 S. 88th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty March 18 of using an illegal fishing device and was sentenced to $325 in fines and costs.
