Break-ins reported in Golden Township.
GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate break-ins of a camper trailer and a pontoon boat that were reported Tuesday, March 16, according to Lt. Shane Hasty.
The first break-in was reported at 9:36 a.m. in the 5400 block of West Polk Road. A pontoon boat and boat trailer were damaged. Nothing has been reported stolen as of yet, because the owner is out of town. The damage was from the intruder or intruders prying open compartments, Hasty said.
The second break-in was reported at 5:20 p.m. in the 400 block of North Spencer Road. An intruder or intruders attempted to enter a camper trailer by breaking a window. It is unknown if anything was stolen due to the owner being from out of the area.
Other OCSO activity Tuesday, March 16, 2021 includes:
- 12:19 a.m., a 44-year-old Manistee woman was cited for driving while license suspended following a vehicle crash, southbound US 31, Pentwater Township.
- 9:11 a.m.,a 37-year-old Mears woman was cited for possessing open intoxicants and a 48-year-old man was cited for transporting open intoxicants, southbound US 31, Shelby Township.
