The following is police activity in Oceana County over the weekend:

Friday, March 12, 2021:

  • 2:15 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 39-year-old man (hometown unavailable) was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs, heroin possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, East Jefferson Road, Crystal Township. 
  • 11:48 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 56-year-old Rothbury man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS) and driving without insurance, 128th Avenue and White Road, Otto Township.
  • 9 p.m., (MSP), a 24-year-old Texas woman was cited for operating without a license, Monroe Road and Oceana Drive, Weare Township.

Saturday, March 13, 2021:

  • 9:49 a.m., (OCSO), a former employee is under investigation for a burglary that occurred at Northland Castings, West Tyler Road, Hart Township. 
  • 3:11 p.m., (OCSO), a 21-year-old Baldwin man was cited for DWLS, 144th Avenue near Harrison Road, Elbridge Township.
  • 4:05 p.m., (OCSO), a 43-year-old Shelby woman was cited for second-offense DWLS, South Oceana Drive, Village of New Era. 

Sunday, March 14, 2021:

  • 11:19 a.m., (OCSO),  39-year-old Hesperia man was cited for amphetamine possession, East Garfield Road, Village of Hesperia.
  • 1:34 p.m., larceny of two trail cameras valued at $155 total, East Skeels Road, Otto Township.
