78th District Court sentencings, Feb. 10, 2021.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

• Marc Matthew Atherton, 18, of 2701 Huizenga St., Norton Shores, was found guilty Feb. 4 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to $350 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
• Darcie Lynn Ellis, 24, of 7468 E M 20, Hesperia, was found guilty Feb. 4 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $350 in fines and costs. One count of driving while license not valid was dismissed.
• Brett Neil Hamel, 35, of 1002 W. Colby St., Whitehall, was found guilty Feb. 4 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• Heidi Sue-Vannett Kludy, 38, of 605 S. Water St., Hart, was found guilty Feb. 4 of reckless driving and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• Brett Lee Merklinger, 25, of 30722 Beechwood St., Wixom, Michigan, was found guilty Feb. 2 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of DWLS and operating without insurance were dismissed.
• Connor Rae Schwartz, 23, of 4886 24th Ave., Hudsonville, Michigan, was found guilty Feb. 4 of no hunting/trapping license and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs. He may withdraw his plea once his fines and costs are paid in full.
