$1,500 in ice fishing equipment stolen.

GRANT TOWNSHIP — The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of $1,500 worth of new ice fishing equipment reported Wednesday, Feb. 3, around 5 p.m. on 108th Avenue, according to Lt. Shane Hasty.

Monday, Feb. 1, 2021:

  • 11:15 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 58-year-old Hart man was cited for driving while license suspended/revoked, Oceana Drive north of Scout Road, Hart Township.

Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021:

  • 12:39 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), larceny of hunting equipment, South 164th Avenue, Greenwood Township.
  • 7:44 p.m., (OCSO), a 32-year-old Mears man was arrested on three counts of resisting/opposing/assaulting police officers, two counts of domestic violence and one count of malicious destruction of property $200 to $1,000, North 56th Avenue, Golden Township. 

Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021:

  • 8:28 a.m., (OCSO), fraud, phone scam for gift cards, North 48th Avenue, Golden Township. The suspect had posed as an account supervisor for Amazon, said Lt. Hasty.
  • 7:47 p.m., (OCSO), harassing text messages and emails, North White Birch Road, Golden Township.
