The following is police activity in Oceana County over the weekend:

Friday, Jan. 29, 2021:

  • 3:51 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 25-year-old Montague man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Winston Road, Grant Township.
  • 10:40 p.m., (Michigan State Police), an 18-year-old Mears man was cited for operating without a driver’s license, Oceana Drive near Polk Road, Hart Township.

Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021:

  • 1:37 a.m., (OCSO), a 17-year-old Hesperia man was cited for operating without a driver’s license, Skeels Road, Greenwood Township.
  • 8:41 p.m., (OCSO), telephone harassment/unwanted text messages, East M 20, Newfield Township.
  • 9:26 p.m., (OCSO), a 27-year-old Shelby woman was cited for operating without a driver’s license, South 72nd Avenue, Shelby Township.

Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021:

  • Midnight, (MSP, OCSO), a 28-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for felonious assault/assault by strangulation, 3300 block of South 140th Avenue, Ferry Township.
  • 3:52 p.m., (OCSO), violation of conservation laws, East Loop Road, Newfield Township. There was a complaint of a reckless operation of a snowmobile by a child on Hightower Lake, but it was unfounded.
  • 8:58 p.m., (OCSO), a charge of driving while license suspended (DWLS) is pending against a 38-year-old Hesperia man, South 192nd Avenue, Newfield Township.
