78th District Court sentencings, Jan. 12, 2021.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
- Joseph Wade Anastasiades, 37, of 615 Douglas Ave., Holland, Michigan, was found guilty Dec. 21 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for three days served and $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). A second count of DWLS was dismissed.
- Kathryn Victoria Chevoor, 21, of 364 Rogers St., Northville, Michigan, was found guilty Jan. 4 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
- Robert August Cooley, 40, of 2040 Skeels Rd., Holton, was found guilty Jan. 6 of DWLS and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Guy Thomas Eyster, 58, of 434 N. 176th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty Jan. 6 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to $250 in fines and costs.
- Steven Lynn Landis, 32, of 1295 N. Water Rd., Hart, pleaded “no contest” Dec. 21 to retaining a foul hooked fish and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail and $350 in fines and costs.
- Gabriel Edwin Flood, 24, of 10652 US Highway 31, Montague, was found guilty Jan. 4 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; and $1,105 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
- Gary Joe Hyde III, 29, of 2434 N. Belsay Rd. Burton, Michigan, was found guilty Jan. 6 of ORV — open intoxicants and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.
- Matthew James Lambert, 29, of 1939 Madison St., Muskegon, was found guilty Jan. 6 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $215 in fines and costs. One count of improper license was dismissed.
- Jeffrey Mitchell Maynard, 24, of 8720 W. Garfield Rd., Bitely, was found guilty Jan. 6 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $340 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.
- Mathew Paul Molnar, 38, of 10280 E. Barnum Rd., Woodland, Michigan, was found guilty Jan. 6 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs. Charges of unlawful license plates and operating without insurance were dismissed.
- Carson Joseph Stopka, 20, of 5388 S. Genesee Rd., Grand Blanc, Michigan, was found guilty Jan. 6 of ORV — operating at an unreasonable speed and was sentenced to $325 in fines and costs.
- Todd Allen Smith, 48, of 2132 N. 56th Ave., Mears, was found guilty Jan. 6 of cutting/removing/transporting forest products and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs.
- Mariah Danielle Murphy, 22, of 2196 E. Union St., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 4 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; and $1,090 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
- Michael Brett Wiggins, 23, of 105 S. Wildwood Crossing, Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 4 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year suspended jail and $450 in fines and costs. One count of driving while unlicensed was dismissed.
- Patrick Wayne Wurthner, 35, of 7121 Apple Hill Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty Jan. 4 of DWLS and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for one day served and $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
- Steven Geno Rice III, 23, of 1242 W. Hazel Rd., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 6 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $340 in fines and costs. One count of violating a restricted license was dismissed.
- Marie Lynn Perry, 57, of 5012 Greenbrook Circle, Howell, Michigan, was found guilty Nov. 30, 2020 of operating while intoxicated on an ORV and was sentenced Jan. 4 to 93 days suspended jail with credit for two days served; suspended ORV license for six months; vehicle used in the offense immobilized or forfeited; and $500 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of third-offense operating while intoxicated and DWLS were dismissed.
- Robert James Sorenson, 36, of 1750 Larsen Rd., Custer, was found guilty Jan. 6 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
- Gerald Raymond Tennant, 38, of 2464 Scenic View Dr., Rothbury, was found guilty Jan. 4 of DWLS and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for one day served and $500 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Doyle Paul Kenyon, 23, of 4164 Second Ave., Newaygo, was found guilty Jan. 8 of improper license and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Victor Alan Ross, 61, of 89 Elliott St., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 8 of dog running at large and was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.
- Christopher Macklin Grover, 32, of 4703 W. 124th St., Grant, was found guilty Jan. 8 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. One count of transporting open intoxicants was dismissed.

- David Nafie Gatie, 22, of 16014 Summer Ct., Macomb Township, Michigan, one count of operating an ORV on a highway or right-of-way was dismissed Dec. 29.
- Jeffrey Lee Elhart, 62, of 4632 Sailview Dr., Holland, Michigan, one count of failure to wear to a personal flotation device (PFD) was dismissed Dec. 29.
- Brandon George Hana, 25, of 51793 Stone Ridge, Shelby Township, Michigan, one count of operating an ORV on a highway or right-of-way was dismissed Dec. 29.
- Jovan Samir Tueni, 32, of 37993 Fleetwood Dr., Farmington Hills, Michigan, one count of operating an ORV on a highway or right-of-way was dismissed Dec. 29.
- Morgan James Pearson, 23, of 170 Menes St., Walkerville, one count of DWLS was dismissed Jan. 11. “Defendant pleaded guilty to a felony offense in circuit court,” his court file states. “It is not in the interest of justice to move forward in this matter.”
