HART — A 28-year-old Grand Rapids man was sentenced in 27th Circuit Court Monday, Jan. 11, to serve nine months in jail for drug delivery.
Drew Patrick Jackson, of 219 Ghilda Place, testified before Judge Robert D. Springstead that he purchased $4,000 worth of drugs, including MDMA/molly and cocaine, on the Dark Web. “I got everything I could,” said Jackson.
“It was a considerable amount of drugs,” said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon. “It was a wide range of illegal drugs. He agreed to sell them to what turned out to be an undercover officer.”
Jackson received credit for one day served in jail. He was ordered to serve 18 months probation, and his driver’s license will be suspended for six months.
Sentencing guidelines in the case are 0-18 months.
He appeared in court via Zoom video conferencing with defense attorney David Dodge due to COVID-19.
