‘Prayers and Squares’ focus of Pentwater Women’s Club meeting Friday.
PENTWATER — The Pentwater Women’s Club will hold its first meeting of 2021 Friday, Jan. 8, at 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Program Speaker Kristin Forester will present information about Prayers and Squares, an area interfaith prayer ministry.
This local group, based at the Centenary United Methodist Church of Pentwater, offers healing prayers, represented in the form of a quilt, to those requesting prayer support while experiencing medical, psychological or spiritual issues.
Prayers and Squares members piece together lap quilts and, once completed, the layers are tied together with colorful thread by church congregants representing the intention of prayers. Since the group’s 2019 formation, 42 quilts have been presented to those requesting prayers of support.
Prior to Friday’s meeting, Pentwater Women’s Club members will receive an email with the Zoom link.
