The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020:

  • 7:15 a.m., (Michigan State Police), car/deer crash, M 20 and 192nd Avenue, Greenwood Township.
  • 11:57 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), methamphetamine possession, East Garfield Road, Greenwood Township. A report is being sent to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
  • 9:01 p.m., (OCSO), a 43-year-old Hesperia man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), North Division Street, Village of Hesperia.
  • 11:18 p.m., (OCSO), a 23-year-old Montague man was cited for DWLS, East Skeels Road, Greenwood Township.

Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020:

  • 12:29 p.m., (OCSO), identity theft, North 72nd Avenue, Hart Township. An 82-year-old Hart woman’s tax information was stolen.
  • 6 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, US 31 near Stony Lake Road, Grant Township.
  • 10:08 p.m.,(OCSO), drug possession, East Garfield Road, Greenwood Township.

Friday, Dec. 25, 2020:

  • 11:30 a.m., (MSP), malicious destruction of property, a billboard was damaged, 34th Avenue near Fox Road, Golden Township. The case is under investigation. 
  • 11:45 p.m., (OCSO), a 20-year-old Hart man was cited for failure to report an accident, 120th Avenue, Crystal Township.

Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020:

  • 9:15 a.m,. (MSP), trespassing, 52nd Avenue, Claybanks Township.
  • 10:30 a.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, US 31 and Stony Lake Road, Shelby Township.

Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020:

  • 5 p.m.,(OCSO), a 43-year-old New Era man was arrested for third-degree home invasion and parole violation, West Arthur Road, Claybanks Township. 

Monday, Dec. 28, 2020:

  • 12:10 a.m., (MSP), methamphetamine and a weapon were seized following a traffic stop, Arthur Road near Oceana Drive, Grant Township. The report will be sent to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office. Charges are pending lab results.
