Suspect at jail hospitalized after inserting suspected meth into body.
HART — A 30-year-old New York City man arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in New York State was taken to Mercy Health Muskegon for detox Monday, Dec. 7, after having symptoms of being “highly under the influence” at the Oceana County Jail, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.
The man, who was arrested by deputies in Rothbury, inserted the drug into his anus. The suspected meth is pending lab results, said Mast.
The man could face a charge of possessing contraband in jail.
