SHELBY — The Shelby Area Chamber of Commerce will host an online Meet and Greet with the Village of Shelby’s recently hired Administrator Brady Selner and Police Chief Steve Waltz Thursday, Dec. 10, at noon.

Community members who would like the opportunity to learn more about these newest members of our community can join a Facebook Live event hosted on the Chamber’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ShelbyAreaChamber49455/.

Selner and Waltz, who joined village staff earlier this month, will each give brief introductions and share their backgrounds and then answer questions from the virtual event participants.

Tracy Blamer of Shelby Area Chamber of Commerce will moderate the event. “It is important to give a warm welcome to our newest village leaders and to give our residents and businesses the opportunity to learn more about their important roles in our community,” said Blamer. “While the current times don’t allow for us to host an in-person gathering for the public like we would normally do, we invite area businesses and residents to take a short lunch break and join us for this online offering.”

The event will also be recorded and posted on the Shelby Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page for later viewing.
