Benona Township supervisor votes to be recounted.

HART — The Oceana County Board of Canvassers will conduct a recount Friday, Dec. 4, beginning at 9:30 a.m. to recount the votes of the Benona Township supervisor race.

Unofficial results from the Nov. 3 election were Steven Fleming (Republican) with 616 votes and Jeff Glover (No Party Affiliation) with 279 votes.

The public meeting will be handled via Zoom video conferencing due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions.

“Oceana County is currently following order from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration regarding public meetings,” states a notice from the Oceana County Clerk’s Office. “The meeting agenda is posted with this public notice. A period of public comment will be available.”
