HART — On Nov. 12, a fire damaged the home of Shar Evans at 311 E. Jefferson St. Evans and her five children, ages 5 to 14, were displaced. Among those children were her 14-year-old daughter, Reyah Helenhouse, a member of the Hart junior varsity girls basketball team. In an effort to help the family out, members of the JV and varsity girls basketball teams raised over $600. They presented the money to the family last Saturday.

“I just think this is a really great testimony of these girls,” said JV coach Andy Riley. “We need some good news these days.”
