78th District Court sentencings.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Jason Alan Ennis, 34, of 5430 E. Arthur Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Nov. 2 of domestic violence and driving while license suspended (DWLS) was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for two days served; six months probation; must submit to testing, searches and counseling as directed by probation; no alcohol/drugs; no contact with the victim; and $1,025 in fines and costs. One count of larceny less than $200 was dismissed. DWLS conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Anthony Matthew Amato, 21, of 1775 108th St., SW, Byron Center, was found guilty Nov. 6 of operating an ORV on a highway or right-of-way and was sentenced to $250 in fines and costs.

– Isaac Ryan Carpenter, 21, of 3085 Avonlea Knoll Way, Webberville, Michigan, was found guilty Nov. 6 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $290 in fines and costs. One count of violation of a restricted license was dismissed.

– Austin Nicholas Dewitt, 25, of 1532 108th St., SW, was found guilty Nov. 6 of operating an ORV on a highway or right-of-way and was sentenced to $250 in fines and costs.

– Colleen Ann Gillen, 54, of 186 Pine St., Shelby, was found guilty Nov. 6 of a Shelby Village dog ordinance and was sentenced to $200 in fines and costs.

– Zachery Lee Hackney, 28, of 4137 Staple Rd., North Muskegon, was found guilty Nov. 6 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $290 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.

– Michael Jacob-Thomas Huyser, 24, of 11025 Hermenitt Dr., Delton, Michigan, was found guilty Nov. 6 of operating an ORV on a highway or right-of-way and was sentenced to $250 in fines and costs.

– Jehud Edreih-Deleon Ramirez, 20, of 1968 E. Fountain Rd., Free Soil, was found guilty Nov. 9 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year suspended jail and $450 in fines and costs.

– Michael H. Fuller, 78, of 2509 N. 56th Ave., Mears, was found guilty Nov. 9 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for 93 days served and a $45 fine. Charges of building a fire in extreme conditions and disorderly person – obscene conduct were dismissed.

– Robert Joseph Jeffries, 65, of 457 E. Third St., Pentwater, was found guilty Sept. 4 of a solid waste disposal site violation and was sentenced to 14 days in jail and $310 in fines and costs. “Property is now in compliance, and that portion of this case is now closed,” his court file states. “Defendant has until 2-8-2021 to pay remaining fines and costs in the amount of $310.”

– Joshua Joseph Norman, 22, of 1484 Oregon Ave., Norton Shores, was found guilty Nov. 9 of DWLS and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for one day served and $125 in fines and costs. One count of operating without security was dismissed.

– Kevin James Goff, 26, of 1413 Holton Whitehall Rd., Twin Lake, was found guilty Nov. 4 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $340 in fines and costs. One count of driving without a proper license endorsement was dismissed.

– Nathan Grant Helzer, 40, of 37971 Point Rosa St., Harrison Township, Michigan, was found guilty Nov. 4 of operating an ORV while license revoked and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.

– John Henry Smith, Jr., 68, of 850 Augusta St., Green Bay, Wisconsin, was found guilty Nov. 4 of transporting open intoxicants and was sentenced to $345 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– John Paul Redmond, 32, of 415 Hart St., Hart, was found guilty Nov. 4 of DWLS and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served and $480 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of DWLS and operating without insurance in a separate file were dismissed.

– Dana Madonna Aarenberg, 30, of 523 E. Ellen St., Fenton, Michigan, was found guilty Nov. 4 of open intoxicants – ORV and was sentenced to $325 in fines and costs.

– Joseph William Binns, 61, of 1391 186th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty Oct. 19 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Nov. 2 to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; and $500 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Amanda Marie Boucher, 39, of 5041 Valentine Lane, Muskegon, was found guilty Nov. 2 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; and $1,205 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated with an occupant under 16 years old was dismissed.

– Jack Edward Freeman II, 40, of 407 E. Church St., Hart, was found guilty Nov. 2 of malicious destruction of property less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $585 in fines, costs and restitution.

– Davin Isaac Gowens, 23, of 1 Triton Circle, Fort Dodge, Iowa, was found guilty Nov. 4 of fishing without a license and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.

– Deven Robert Hall, 36, of 1304 Windridge Lane, Fremont, was found guilty Nov. 4 of transporting open intoxicants and was sentenced to $465 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Derrick Lee Maynard, 39, of 8566 W. 24th Ave., Fremont, was found guilty Nov. 4 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Adnan M. Saeed, 42, of 20616 Audette St., Dearborn, Michigan, was found guilty Nov. 4 of failure to wear a personal flotation device and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs.

– Blake Cedric Bennett, 26, of 2101 Moon St., Muskegon, was found guilty Oct. 26 of DWLS and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for one day served and $450 in fines and costs.

– Austin Michael McDonald, 22, of 5370 Harvest Court, Bay City, Michigan, was found guilty Nov. 3 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail with credit for one day served and $400 in fines and costs.

– James Russell Palmer, 22, of 3607 N. Comstock Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty Nov. 3 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $400 in fines and costs.

– Gordon Eugene Zeckzer, 28, of 1135 S. 160th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty Oct. 26 of domestic violence and was sentenced to 75 days in jail and $500 in fines and costs. His jail term runs concurrently to his circuit court sentence.

– Jordan Christian Peters, 26, of 71548 Saint David Court, Romeo, Michigan, was found guilty Oct. 30 of DWLS and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Dorrell Antwon Thomas, 31, of 4159 W. Tyler Rd., Hart, was found guilty Oct. 30 of violating a restricted license and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– Jonathan Edward Waldeck, 49, of 7140 S. West Shore Dr., Rothbury, one felony count of methamphetamine possession was dismissed Nov. 2.

– Julian Reyna, a felony count of assault by strangulation and a misdemeanor count of domestic violence were dismissed Nov. 9. “The victim in this matter recanted her statements and is unwilling to cooperate with the prosecution of the defendant,” court records state. (Defendant’s date of birth and address were not immediately available.)

– Andrew Elbert Flick, 58, of 5214 Skeels Rd., Holton, one count of forest fires — no burning permit was dismissed Nov. 3.

– Roger Alan Wilcox, 63, of 4788 Hwy M 28, Kenton, Michigan, one count of operating an ORV at an unreasonable speed was dismissed Oct. 29.

– Terry James Mead, 39, of 450 W. Polk Rd., Hart, one count of DWLS was dismissed Oct. 29.
