78th District Court sentencings, Oct. 19, 2020.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– James Allan Carrey, Jr., 53, of 4105 Sherwood Forest Dr., Traverse City, was found guilty Oct. 13 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $400 in fines and costs. One count of disorderly person — drunk was dismissed.

– Stanley Michael Eubank, 41, of 5905 Cleveland Rd., Montague, was found guilty Oct. 16 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Jesus Villegas-Garza, 19, of 3070 W. Baseline Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Oct. 16 of fishing without a license and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.

– Carl Lee Herring, 30, of 5157 W. 52nd., Baldwin, was found guilty Oct. 13 of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and was sentenced to 90 days in jail and a $75 fine. One count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer was dismissed.

– Amari Ilan Rivera-Wehner, 21, of 2611 W. Chauvez Rd., Scottville, was found guilty Oct. 13 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Johnny Raphael Roman, 29, of 64 S, Michigan Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Oct. 15 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

Dismissals

– Danielle Denise Penoyer, 34, of 2704 N. 64th Ave., Hart, one count of assault and battery was dismissed Oct. 8. “The victim in this matter is unwilling to cooperate with the prosecution of the defendant,” court records state.

– Gurgiandeep Singh, 20, of 44555 Fair Oaks Dr., Canton, Michigan, one count of transporting open intoxicants was dismissed Oct. 16.
