The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Monday, Oct. 12, 2020:

– 3:56 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 51-year-old Shelby man was arrested for assault, West Shelby Road, Shelby Township.

– 4:33 p.m., (OCSO), assault, West Third Street, Golden Township. A 33-year-old Mears man is a suspect. The case is being turned over to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020:

– 1:16 a.m., (OCSO), warrant arrest and driving while license suspended, South 116th Avenue, Otto Township. A 22-year-old Bitely man was cited for DWLS and was wanted on warrants issued in Fremont. He was turned over to the Fremont Police Department and lodged in the Newaygo County Jail.

– 2:33 a.m., (OCSO), drug possession and operating without a license, East Garfield Road, Benona Township. The case is being turned over to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office pending laboratory results on the suspected drugs. A 35-year-old Hesperia man is a suspect.

– 7:07 p.m., (OCSO), a 28-year-old Norton Shores man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, South First Street, Village of New Era. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

– 8 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 38-year-old Shelby man was cited for unlawful license plate following a car/deer crash, Oceana Drive south of Water Road, Shelby Township.
