78th District Court sentencings, Sept. 13, 2020.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Melody Ann Cox, 64, of 3420 W. Skeels Rd., Montague, was found guilty Aug. 31 of reckless use of a firearm and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for three days served and $425 in fines and costs. One felony count of larceny in a building was dismissed.

– Gabriel John Jagniecki, 31, of 3173 Meyers Ave., New Era, was found guilty Aug. 31 of larceny $200-$1,000 and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for two days served and $160 in fines, costs and restitution. One felony count of uttering and publishing a counterfeit bill was dismissed.

– Donald M. Barnes, 36, of 2451 Washington Rd., Pentwater, was found guilty Sept. 11 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $340 in fines and costs. One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed.

– Jose Guadalupe Perez-Castro, 35, of 361 Runner St., Shelby, was found guilty Sept. 11 of dog running at large and was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.

– Michael Keith Sylvester, 26, of 2674 Ray Ave., New Era, was found guilty Sept. 11 of operating an ORV in a closed area and was sentenced to $225 in fines and costs.

– Jessie Lee Zimmerman, 26, of 4242 S. 88th Ave., New Era, was found guilty Sept. 11 of DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Ryleigh Annette Houston, 18, of 5800 W. 7th St., Mears, was found guilty Sept. 11 of communing alcohol/drugs by a minor and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs.

– Robert John Hoyer, Jr., 60, of 605 S. Water St., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 11 of fishing without a license and was sentenced to a $75 fine.

– Nichole Lee McQuate, 40, of 6416 W. Johnson Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Sept. 11 of letting a child under 16 operate an ORV and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs.

Dismissal

– Shayne Chris Smith, 32, of 7818 E. Gale Rd., Hesperia, one count of felonious assault was dismissed Aug. 31.
