Since Gov. Whitmer declared a state of emergency in early March, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, District Health Dept. #10 has reported the following cases in Mason, Oceana, Manistee and Lake counties, as of today, Sept. 9, 2020. 

Editor’s notes: MCP/OCP last reported these figures on Aug. 24 and this report shows the difference in the last 16 days. Population information from U.S. Census Bureau. Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days after date of confirmation.

• Mason County, population, 29,144: 112 cases, .384 percent of population (101 cases reported Aug. 24, .346%); 0 deaths, 0 percent of population, 0 percent of cases (no change since Aug. 24); 90 recoveries, 80 percent of cases (83 recoveries, 82.1 percent of cases, reported on Aug. 24).
• Oceana County, population, 26,625; 475 cases, 1.78 percent of population (471 cases reported Aug. 24, 1.76 percent); 6 deaths, .022 percent of population, 1.27 percent of cases (no change since Aug. 24); 448 cases, 94 percent of cases (431 recoveries, 91.5 percent of cases reported on Aug. 24).
• Manistee County, population, 24,528; 62 cases, .252 percent of population (41 cases reported on Aug. 24, .167 percent); 1 death; .004 percent of population, 2.43 percent of cases (no change since Aug. 24); 35 recoveries, 56 percent of cases (30 recoveries as of Aug. 24, 73.1 percent of cases).
• Lake County, population, 11,881; 29 cases, .244 percent of population (28 cases reported on Aug. 24, .235 percent); 0 deaths, 0 percent of population, 0 percent of cases (no change since Aug. 24); 21 recoveries, 72 percent of cases (14 recoveries reported on Aug. 24, 50 percent of cases).
