GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — A 36-year-old Mears man was arrested by Oceana County sheriff’s deputies after allegedly exposing himself to his neighbors while yelling and swearing at them Monday, Aug. 31, at 11:30 a.m., said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

The suspect was wearing only his underwear and was carrying an almost empty fifth of vodka, said Mast. The incident occurred at Juniper Beach and Ridge roads. He faces charges of indecent exposure, drunk and disorderly and open intoxicants on a public right-of way, the sheriff said.

The following is other police activity in Oceana County over the weekend:

Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020:

– 12:06 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 17-year-old Hart woman was arrested for operating without a license, and charges are being sought against her for unlawful driving away of an automobile/car theft, East Scout Road, Elbridge Township.

– 5:42 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 36-year-old Rothbury man was arrested following a domestic violence complaint, 7000 block of South 80th Avenue, Grant Township.

– 8:45 p.m., (MSP), a 26-year-old Hart man was arrested on an outstanding warrant, 2000 block of West Baseline Road, Hart Township.

Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020:

– 12:08 a.m., (OCSO), sex offense, case is under investigation, North 192nd Avenue, Colfax Township. Interviews and lab processing are pending.

– 2 a.m., (OCSO), a 24-year-old Rothbury man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS) and open intoxicants, Wilke Road, Grant Township.

– 10:24 p.m., (OCSO), charges of resisting and obstructing arrest, no insurance, no operator’s license and no registration are pending against a 32-year-old Walkerville man who fled the scene on foot, 128th Avenue, Otto Township.
