Motorcyclist injured when tire blows out.

OTTO TOWNSHIP — A 31-year-old Baldwin man was transported by Life EMS to an area hospital Monday, Aug. 17, around 8:45 p.m. after the back tire of his motorcycle blew out causing him to crash on 116th Avenue near McKinley Road, according to Michigan State Police Trooper Todd Goodrich.

After the tire blew out, he lost control of the bike and it crashed on its side, Goodrich said.

The man suffered multiple cuts and bruises but no major injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
