78th District Court sentencings, July 16, 2020.

HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
– Michael Jacob Martin, 41, of 2137 Estes St., Muskegon, pleaded “no contest” July 6 to attempted fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) and was sentenced to one year in jail beginning Aug. 3 and $450 in fines and costs. One felony count of second-degree CSC was dismissed.
– Leandro Alaniz, 47, of 320 Main Ave., Twin Falls, Idaho, pleaded “no contest” July 7 to disorderly person — drunk and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for three days served and a $75 fine.
– Amanda Marie Caron, 32, of 22965 Audette St., Dearborn, was found guilty July 6 of allowing a person under the influence of alcohol to operate and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; must attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) once a week for 60 days; and $450 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
– Trad Paul Sheafor, 30, of 5825 W. 7th St., Mears, was found guilty of operating without insurance and unlawful license plate and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for three days served; 90 days suspended jail with credit for three days served and $650 in fines and costs. One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Nellie Quintero, 26, of 72 Chapita Hills, Shelby, was found guilty July 6 of allowing a person to drive violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $340 in fines and costs. Charges of improper license and operating without insurance were dismissed.
– Max Alan Highland, 63, of 2741 N. 64th Ave., Hart, was found guilty July 6 of operating while impaired and allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; and $1,340 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Dirk Raymond Hendrickson, 31, of 3957 Sweeter Rd., Twin Lake, was found guilty July 9 ORV trespassing and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.
– Eugene Rodriguez, 66, of 416 E. Church St., Hart, was found guilty July 9 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs.
– Richard Wayne Gorenflo, 37, of 7951 E. Jackson Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.
– Harold Norman Isley, Jr., 66, of 1620 W. Woodrow Rd., Shelby, was found guilty July 9 of taking/possessing a trout out of season and was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs.
– Richard James Davis, 31, of 403 E. Lincoln St., Hart, pleaded “no contest” July 6 to assault and battery and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for 70 days served and a $75 fine. One count of reckless driving was dismissed.
– Kameron Colton Bronkema, 19, of 124 Scout Rd., Hart, was found guilty June 29 of embezzlement less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $797 in fines, costs and restitution. One count of embezzlement $200-$1,000 was dismissed.
– Robert Charles Brown, 35, of 429 Water St., Hart, was found guilty June 29 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for two days served and $150 in fines and costs. One count of harboring misdemeanants was dismissed.
– Rolando Castillo, 49, of 1825 N. 56th Ave., Mears, was found guilty July 9 of failure to prevent spread of fire and was sentenced to $175 in fines and costs.
– Jason Patrick Burrous, 46, of 2092 Columbus, Muskegon, was found guilty July 9 of allowing a person to drive violation and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for two days served and $340 in fines and costs. Charges of DWLS, operating an unregistered vehicle and operating without insurance were dismissed.
– James Michael Kersting, 25, of 7346 E. Loop Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty July 9 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail and $340 in fines and costs. One count of transporting open intoxicants was dismissed.
– Patrick James Hooyman, 28, of 3448 Eagle Ridge Crt., Grand Rapids, was found guilty July 13 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for 28 days served; outpatient treatment; and $415 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– David Michael Herman, 32, of 6756 Grand Haven Rd., Norton Shores, was found guilty July 13 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for two days served and $450 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Michael John Vanlent, 61, of 1224 Prospect St., Ann Arbor, was found guilty July 13 of disorderly person — obscene conduct and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $435 in fines and costs. One count of indecent exposure was dismissed.
– Jason Daniel Yonker, 33, of 2138 N. Federal Rd., Pierson, Michigan, was found guilty June 22 of larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for three days served and $450 in fines and costs. One count of larceny $200-$1,000 was dismissed.
Dismissal
– Donald Paul Adams, 55, of 2129 E. Monroe Rd., Hart, one felony count of assault by strangulation was dismissed June 30. “Victim has unequivocally recanted her statement,” court records state. “The state cannot prove the elements.”
