HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
– Matthew Neil Hand, 17, of 3650 N Bass Lake Rd., Pierson, Michigan, was found guilty June 24 of two wildlife conservation violations — using an artificial light/weapon and taking game from vehicle — and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; hunting license revoked in 2020 plus five additional years; and $3,250 in fines and costs. Two wildlife conversation charges — general violations — were dismissed.
– Brandon Scott Wright, 30, of 3008 Violet Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty June 23 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for 93 days served; outpatient treatment; and $325 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
– Tonya Michelle Wehner, 41, of 5148 N. Wayne Ave., Pentwater, was found guilty June 29 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,205 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Amber Leigh Washburn, 40, of 7334 N. 140th Ave., Hart, was found guilty June 29 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days in jail with credit for three days served; AHSE; and $1,212 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Cameron Jeffrey Hoffman, 26, of 4340 W. Hayes Rd., Shelby, was found guilty June 26 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail and $290 in fines and costs. One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed.
-Jordan Tyler Ward, 35, of 2563 W. Northland Dr., Rothbury, was found guilty June 29 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $300 in fines and costs.
– Maria Luisa Martinez, 20, 8430 Oceana Dr., Montague, was found guilty June 29 of disorderly person — jostling and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for three days served and $465 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.
– Joseph Alan Riggs, 37, of 5839 5th St., Mears, was found guilty June 8 of operating without insurance and allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for one year served and 90 days suspended jail with credit for 90 days served. One count of DWLS was dismissed.
– Blake Richard Wiseman, 33, of 6690 Union St., Twin Lake, was found guilty June 18 of ORV – trespassing and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs.
Dismissals
– Lucas Edward Nieuwenhuis, 45, of 2571 Blackberry Lane, NE, Grand Rapids, one count of letting a child under 16 operate an ORV was dismissed June 29.
– Chelsea Marie Hayes, 27, of 3395 Wilcox Ave., Muskegon, one count of driving while license expired was dismissed June 24.
