Expect US 31 lane closures at Hammett Road bridge through September.

PENTWATER TOWNSHIP — Lane closures for bridge work are expected to begin Tuesday, July 7, and continue through Sept. 30 on US 31 under Hammett Road, according to Michigan Department of Transportation Communications Representative John Richard.

Hammett Road will be closed over US 31 and traffic will be detoured using 66th Avenue, Oceana Drive and US 31 Business Route, Richard said.

The work is weather dependent. The total project cost is approximately $450,000.
