78th District Court sentencings, dismissals.

HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Anthony Michael Wasierski, 42, of 139 Miller Dr., Conklin, Michigan, was found guilty June 22 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for 31 days served and $1,255 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS)

– Carlos Coronado-Coronado, 36, of 339 Dewey St., Shelby, was found guilty June 22 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; and $1,090 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of operating while intoxicated and failing to stop after a collision were dismissed.

– Tina Marie Day, 35, of 2532 Meadow Lane, Rothbury, was found guilty June 22 of assault and battery and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for two days served and $460 in fines and costs. One count of malicious destruction of property less than $200 was dismissed.

– Scott Douglas Foster, 45, of 6971 W. Deer Rd., Mears, was found guilty June 22 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for five days served for Count 1; 90 days suspended jail with credit for five served for Count 2; and $750 in fines and costs. Charges of DWLS and operating without insurance in a separate file were dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Tyler Lee Sheehy, 20, of 6154 N. 144th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty June 23 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for two days served and $435 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Theodore Alva Short, 55, of 660 S. 176th Ave., Hesperia, pleaded “no contest” June 22 to operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education; and $1,140 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Kaden John-William Strait, 17, of 2924 West VanBuren Rd., Hart, was found guilty June 22 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for eight days served and $487 in fines, costs and restitution.

Dismissals

– Joshua Michael Flanery, 26, of 64 S. Michigan Ave., Shelby, one count of assault by strangulation was dismissed June. 12. “The victim has indicated that she does not wish to testify,” court records state. “State cannot prove case without her.”

– Jamar Ladon Knox, 30, of 410 Laketon Ave., Muskegon, one count of DWLS was dismissed June 11. “Defendant has a pending felony charge which he plans to plead guilty to. It is not in the interests of justice to go forward with the above misdemeanor charge at this time.”

– Jorge Luis Vargas-Mares, 28, of 4717 N. 120th Ave., Hart, one count of no operator’s license was dismissed June 11. “Defendant has provided documentation that he has a valid driver’s license from Mexico.”

– Jordan Tyler Ward, 35, of 2563 W. Northland Dr., Rothbury, one count of failure to report an accident was dismissed June 22.
