GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary on West Fox Road in which several electronics were stolen.

The burglary, which was reported around 8 p.m. Tuesday June 23, resulted in the theft of an Apple iPad valued at $350, two wireless headsets valued at $250, two Xbox consoles valued at $600, a 44-inch Samsung flat screen TV valued at $300, a pair of cowboy boots valued at $300, a pair of Ryobi drills valued at $100 and miscellaneous clothing valued at $100, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

It appears that the intruder/s entered through an unlocked door and then ransacked the home.

Sheriff’s detectives are also investigating a larceny from a garage that was reported Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. on West Silver Lake Road. An air compressor valued at $300 and a Husqvarna chainsaw – each valued at $300 — were stolen. Both stolen items have been recovered. Two suspects — a 26-year-old Mears man and a 23-year-old Hart man — have been interviewed by detectives, Mast said. It is believed that the suspects could also be involved in the burglary.

“We’re suspicious of the two (crimes) being related,” he said.
