78th District Court sentencings.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Karin Camille Bulger, 55, of 4083 N. Juniper Rd., Mears, was found guilty June 8 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for two days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,140 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– David Wayne Dwyer, Jr., 35, of 7110 E. Sandra Kay, Fountain, was found guilty June 8 of malicious destruction of property less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for three days served and $735 in fines, costs and restitution.

– Troy Adam Fessenden, 48, of 2898 N. Bass Lake Rd., Pierson, Michigan, was found guilty June 8 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for two days served; AHSE; and $1,105 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Mohamed Ali Hassan, 30, of 5798 W. 6th St., Mears, was found guilty June 11 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Andrew David Hudgens, 20, of 2455 Woodlake Rd., SW, Wyoming, Michigan, was found guilty June 8 of a hunting/fishing violation and was sentenced to $325 in fines and costs.

– Roger A. Martin, 50, of 500 E. 8th St., Holland, was found guilty June 8 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $1,140 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Gerald Raymond Tennant, 37, of 2464 W. Scenic View Dr., Rothbury, was found guilty June 11 of DWLS and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Anthony Thomas Williamson, 25, of 80 N. Michigan Ave., Shelby, was found guilty June 8 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; and $1,140 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Lorenzo Ramirez-Ramirez, 52, of 41 Ferry St., Shelby, was found guilty June 3 of improper license and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Robbie Jay Rice, 47, of 7140 S. Westshore Dr., Rothbury, was found guilty May 27 of unlawful license plates and was sentenced to $225 in fines and costs.

– Mary Beth Simkins, 40, of 3625 Polk Rd., Hart, was found guilty May 28 of dog running at large and was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.

– James Neil Woodbury, 40, of 1836 W. Cleveland Rd., New Era, was found guilty June 3 of taking a trout during a closed season and was sentenced to $325 in fines and costs.

– Raymond Jeffery Dickenson, 40, of 2313 W. Madison Rd., Hart, was found guilty May 28 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $290 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.

– Kaleb Dillon Diehm, 19, of 5200 Lakewood Rd., Whitehall, was found guilty May 28 of a wildlife conservation violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; hunting license revoked for 2020 plus three years; and $1,475 in fines and costs. Two other wildlife conversation violation counts were dismissed.

– Damon Paul Ellis, 42, of 7343 Holton Duck Lake Rd., Holton, was found guilty May 28 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served and $415 in fines and costs. Charges of DWLS, unlawful license plates and operating without insurance were dismissed.

– Elizabeth Mae Evelhoch, 38, of 40 N. 88th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty May 28 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $290 in fines and costs. One count of improper license was dismissed.

– Zachariah David Houghton, 20, of 1540 Winston Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty May 28 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. One count of improper license was dismissed.

– Robert James Kittel, 52, of 1010 S. 42nd, Shelby, was found guilty May 27 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $340 in fines and costs. Charges of DWLS and operating without insurance were dismissed.

– Robert Jay Klingel, 59, of 9275 S. 124th, Montague, was found guilty June 3 of allowing fire to escape and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.

– Brett Anthony Peoples, 28, of 72 Chapita Hills, Shelby, was found guilty May 28 of of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $290 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.

Dismissals

– Michael H. Fuller, 77, of 95 Hilltop Dr., Hart, charges of transporting open intoxicants and unattended fishing lines were dismissed May 29. “Defendant agreed to plead guilty to a pending felony charge and serve six months of up-front jail time,” his court file states. “It is not in the interest of justice to go forward with this matter at this time.”

– Frank Murry Hovey, 45, of 1021 Adams Rd., Hart, one count of domestic violence was dismissed May 29. “Defendant has a pending felony charge,” his court file states. “It is not in the interest of justice to go forward with this matter at this time.”

– Dora Lee Rodriguez, 48, of 7855 S. Maria St., Rothbury, one count of disobeying a school guard was dismissed May 28. Pursuant to the plea agreement dated March 3, 2020, defendant pleaded guilty to impeding traffic, court records state.
