HART — The criminal sexual conduct (CSC) case against a 43-year-old Shelby man is headed to trial in 27th Circuit Court in September, said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon.
Daniel Brian Burns, of 2936 E. Baseline Rd., is charged with second-degree CSC — force or coercion stemming from the alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl.
Burns, who is free after posting a $10,000 bond, is scheduled for trial Sept. 16 and 17.
Second-degree CSC is punishable by up 15 years in prison.
