Home owners scare off burglar.

SHELBY — Michigan State Police troopers are investigating an attempted home invasion that was reported in the 100 block of First Street Sunday, April 26, at 11:15 p.m., said Sgt. Dan Thomas.

Someone attempted to break into the back window of a residence, but the homeowners scared the burglar off, Thomas said.

Other MSP activity Sunday, April 26, 2020 includes:

– 12:17 p.m., larceny of two 200-milliliter Fireball Whiskey bottles valued at $4.69 each, Wesco, Village of New Era.

– 9:05 p.m., a 30-year-old Shelby man and a 34-year-old Shelby man were arrested for assault, 1500 block of 72nd Avenue, Hart Township.
