GRANT TOWNSHIP — A 34-year-old Muskegon woman was arrested by Oceana County sheriff’s deputies Saturday, April 25, shortly after 1 a.m. after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the neck with a screwdriver, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

The incident occurred at a residence on South Oceana Drive. The victim, who is a 36-year-old Montague man, received a “superficial” injury, Mast said.

After the alleged assault, the woman fled the scene on foot and a sheriff’s K-9 tracked her down. She was found hiding inside an old camper/motor home on the back portion of the property where the crime reportedly occurred.

The suspect was also wanted on a Muskegon County warrant for failure to appear.

“It was a series of very poor decisions,” Mast said.
