Prison term for home invasion tops circuit court sentencings.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 27th Circuit Court:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, proceedings either took place via Zoom or Polycom teleconfercing.
– Joshua Mark Bassett-Lynch, 29, of 5813 Iris Rd., Ludington, pleaded “no contest” Dec. 2, 2019 to second-degree home invasion
and was sentenced April 20 to 16 months to 15 years in prison with credit for 100 days served in jail and $258 in fines and costs. One count of first-degree home invasion was dismissed.
– Kane Alray Burks, 31, of 1191 Sixth St., Muskegon, was found guilty of probation violation and was sentenced April 20 to 448 days in jail with credit for 448 days served and $557.60 in
fines, costs and restitution. Probation, which stems from an April 2, 2015 conviction of controlled substance delivery less than 50 grams, is continued for six months or until all fines are paid in full.
– Dorrell Antwon Thomas, 30, of 1495 W. Tyler Rd., Hart, was found guilty Feb. 24 of methamphetamine
possession and was sentenced April 20 to 90 days in jail with credit for 90 days served; 18 months probation; driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted after 30 days; and $458 in fines and costs. Restitution hearing is set for May 4.
– Michael Lee Gonzalez, 31, of 14976 Arborwood Dr., Grand Haven, was found guilty Feb. 3 of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced April 20 to 87 days in jail with credit for 87 days served; 19 months probation; and $398 in fines and costs. One count of fleeing and eluding police was dismissed.
