Semi truck hauling pigs crashes near Walkerville.

COLFAX TOWNSHIP — A semi truck hauling pigs crashed on Madison Road near 192nd Avenue Tuesday, March 17, shortly before 1 p.m., said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.
The male driver was “bleeding from the head” following the rollover crash, Mast said, and some of the pigs were killed in the collision. The driver was transported by Life EMS to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital. It was not immediately known if his injuries are life threatening.
Deputies from the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office were still on scene investigating the crash shortly after 2 p.m., Sheriff Mast said.
Walkerville Fire and Rescue also assisted at the crash scene.
