Pickup truck rolls over several times during US 31 crash.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — A 61-year-old Whitehall man was transported by Life EMS to Mercy Health Partners Lakeshore Campus in Shelby following a single-vehicle crash on southbound US 31 near Hayes Road Friday, March 6, around 6:30 a.m.

According to the accident report from the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office, the driver “stated he was only going about 45 mph when he lost control of his vehicle on the slushy roadway.” The driver said the 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche ran off road and overturned several times in the median.

The man was wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.
