HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
– Juan Sanchez, Jr., 23, of 115 W. 6th St., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 21 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Feb. 24 to 93 days suspended jail with credit for three days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,130 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
– Benjamin Howard Hill, 2290 W. Webster Rd., Montague, was found guilty Feb. 12 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $435 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
– Christopher Floyd Gray, 27, of 10875 Parkwood Dr., Montague, was found guilty Feb. 25 of disorderly person — jostling and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $400 in fines and costs. Two counts of assault and battery were dismissed.
– Perry Page Schaeffer, 56, of 14 Mechanic St., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 27 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced Feb. 24 to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $497 in fines, costs and restitution.
– Kaden John-William Strait, 18, of 2924 West VanBuren Rd., Hart, was found guilty Nov. 12, 2019 of malicious use of telecommunications services and was sentenced Feb. 24 to 180 days suspended jail with credit for two days served; six months probation; and $800 in fines and costs.
– Brandon James Tyler, 20, of 5669 E. Baseline Rd., White Cloud, was found guilty Feb. 24 of malicious use of telecommunications services and was sentenced to 180 days suspended jail with credit for 28 days served and $450 in fines and costs.
– Bryan Lawrence Rhanor, 50, of 115 Washington St., Hart, was found guilty Feb. 24 of disorderly conduct — drunk and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for 28 days served.
– Gavin Ray Hill, 20, of 64 S. Michigan Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 21 of malicious destruction of a building less than $200 and was sentenced Feb. 24 to 93 days suspended jail with credit for 53 days served; $588 in restitution; and a $75 fine.
– Brent Ryan Wicklund, 38, of 2356 E. Wilson Rd., Custer, was found guilty Feb. 24 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; and $1,080 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
– Jimmie Andrew Moore, 49, of 5505 E. Deer Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty Feb. 19 of improper license and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Jonathan Michael-Cole Armstead, 21, of 3812 E M 20, Hesperia, was found guilty Feb. 20 allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $340 in fines and costs. One count of violation of a restricted license was dismissed.
– Stacey Elaine Allen-Maynard, 38, of 9096 124th Ave., Rothbury, was found guilty Feb. 20 allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $290 in fines and costs. One count of improper license was dismissed.
– Jenna Victoria Rodriguez, 24, of 115 E. 4th St., Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 20 allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $355 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
– Stacey Kay Simmons, 36, of 44 Chapita Hills, Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 20 allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $340 in fines and costs. Charges of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and unlawful license plate were dismissed.
– Cody Lee Kasinger, 56, of 3611 S. 204th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty Feb. 19 of dog running at large and was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.
– Bradley Thomas Anderson, 23, of 1671 E. Zimmer Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 24 of unlawful license plates and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $265 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
– Danielle Lynn Taylor, 36, of 1085 Roberts St., Muskegon, was found guilty Feb. 24 allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $175 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.
– Armando Martinez, 38, of 60 N. 88th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 24 allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $365 in fines and costs. One count of violating a learner’s permit was dismissed.
– Joshua Marquese DeShong, 33, of 2083 Plainfield Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty Feb. 12 allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to nine days in jail with credit for nine days served and $175 in fines and costs. One count of failure to report an accident was dismissed.
– Jorge Eduardo Mata, 49, of 2280 W. Baseline Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 24 of improper license and unlawful license plates and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $565 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed. In a separate case, charges of improper license, operating without insurance and unregistered vehicle were dismissed.
– Paul Madison Phillips, 34, of 2116 W. Monroe Rd., Hart, was found guilty Feb. 24 of failure to establish a solid waste disposal site and allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for nine days served and $250 in fines and costs. In a separate file, charges of improper license, operating without security and unlawful license plates were dismissed.
– Michael Lane Murphy, 57, of 276 McLaren Lake Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Feb. 24 of operating without insurance and open intoxicants and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $200 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Samantha Jo Halbower, 30, of 198 Maplewood Ave., Muskegon Heights, was found guilty Feb. 18 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for 21 days served and $100 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of DWLS and unlawful license plate were dismissed.
Dismissals
– Mohamed Ali Hassan, 29, of 5770 W. 7th St., Mears, one felony count of methamphetamine possession was dismissed Feb. 24 after pleading in another file. One misdemeanor count of DWLS was also dismissed Feb. 24.
– Robert Allen King, 28, of 3752 W. VanBuren Rd., Hart, charges of operating while intoxicated, operating without insurance and DWLS were dismissed Feb. 24. “Defendant is currently incarcerated in Jackson Prison,” his court file states. “It is not in the interests of justice to go forward with the above matters at this time.”
– Laura Jo Hoag, 50, of 7253 Crestwood Ave., Jenison, one count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed Feb. 24. “Defendant is deceased.”
– Rachel Ann Gale, 42, of 371 W. Main St., Hart, one count of operating without a license was dismissed Feb. 20.
– Todd Allen Smith, 47, of 2132 N. 56th Ave., Mears, one count of violation of license restrictions was dismissed Feb. 14.
– Jason Lee Poole, 35, of 413 Marshall St., Muskegon, one count of failure to register a snowmobile was dismissed Feb. 20.
– Diahmanté Kira Torres, 18, of 315 S. Courtland St., Hart, one count of assault and battery was dismissed Feb. 24.
– Joseph Lee Rangel, 39, of 5745 N. 136th Ave., Hart, one count of reckless driving was dismissed Feb. 25.
– Arturo Ysabel Lopez, 36, of 2280 E. Ferry St., Shelby, one count of DWLS was dismissed Feb. 19.
– Erika Lynn Maynard, 39, of 9460 Wilke Rd., Fremont, one count of failure to tarp load was dismissed Feb. 21.
