Hart man dies in UP snowmobile crash.
WHITEFISH TOWNSHIP, Michigan — A 28-year-old Hart man died in a snowmobile crash in the Upper Peninsula’s Chippewa County Tuesday, Feb. 25, shortly before 1 p.m., according to UP news reports.
Michigan State Police troopers from the Sault Ste. Marie Post were dispatched to the crash on Trail #452.
Preliminary investigation revealed Zackary Snider lost control of his snowmobile, left the trail and crashed into a tree. Snider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The MSP was assisted at the scene by Whitefish Fire and EMS, and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
The crash is under investigation, and no other details were immediately available.
