Ridge Road closed due to culvert replacements.

Ridge Road between Jackson and Lake roads in Golden and Pentwater townships is closed due to two culvert failures, according to the Oceana County Road Commission.

Work began Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 8 a.m., and it is expected to be completed by Thursday, Dec. 19, at 3:30 p.m.

“These culvert replacements are quite large and will take a bit to get placed,” said Sandy Griffin, road commission clerk. “One is going in just a little beyond Cedar Point Park, and the other is going in at Pleasant Beach on that curve. We are assuming snow tonight — that’s why we probably won’t get the second culvert done tomorrow.”

Local residents can access their property.
