HHS Drama Club presents ‘The Wizard of Oz’ this weekend.

HART – The popular classic tale of “The Wizard of Oz” comes to life on the stage of the Hart Middle School Auditorium presented by the Hart High School Drama Club this weekend, Nov. 22-24.
“Based on the beloved book by L. Frank Baum, this musical is perfect for all ages,” said HMS Choir Director/Drama Teacher David Moul. “True to the 1939 MGM movie, this is a show for the whole family you won’t want to miss – complete with every favorite song, a melting wicked witch, Toto, and more!”
The cast includes: Dorothy Gale – Elizabeth Vega; Uncle Henry – Brendan Nienhuis; Aunt Em/Glinda – Samantha McGhan; Tinman – River Kistler; Scarecrow – Joshua Huizenga; Cowardly Lion – Ryan Routley; Wicked Witch – Lydia Scott; and The Wizard – Carlos Arias.
The chorus includes: Autumn Farmer, Kelly VanderKodde, Gina VanderKodde, Amanda Whitaker, Lillian Hallack, Sarah Turner, Lucy Hayes, Destiny Herlein, Deanna McGhan, Max Nienhuis, James Vega and Reed Schulz.
Performance times are 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 23. The matinee Sunday, Nov. 24, begins at 2 p.m.
