Halloween is Thursday, Oct. 31, and Oceana communities are gearing up for a frightfully fun and safe celebration.

The following are trick-or-treat hours in Oceana:

– Rothbury: Halloween party at the village hall 5-6:30 p.m.

– New Era: 6-8 p.m.

– Hesperia: 6-8 p.m.

– Walkerville: 5-7 p.m. at the Walkerville Wesleyan Church, 144 S. Harmon St., sponsored by Walkerville Thrives. The school will also have a parade at 2 p.m. on Main Street. If it rains, the parade will take place in the school gym.

– Hart: 6-8 p.m. There will also be downtown trick-or-treating from 4-6 p.m. sponsored by the Hart Main Street Program. Spitler Elementary School will have its annual Halloween parade through town with the Hart High School Marching Band beginning at 1 p.m.

– Shelby: 6-8 p.m.

– Pentwater: 6-8 p.m.

– Ferry: 5-8 p.m. at the Ferry Township Community Center.
