HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Fred Austin Tanner, Jr., 32, of 69 S. 56th Ave., Mears, was found guilty Oct. 7 of operating with a forged/altered/false license and unlawful license plate and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for 45 days served and $100 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed.

– Levi Alan Richard, 22, of 3591 S. Water Rd., New Era, was found guilty Sept. 16 of malicious destruction of property less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days in jail with credit for 40 days served and $90 in fines and costs.

– Stephanie Jo Keith, 32, of 209 W. Fourth St., Scottville, was found guilty Oct. 7 of attempted possession of analogues and was sentenced to one year suspended jail with credit for 22 days served; driver’s license suspended 180 days; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Cole Robert-Ellis Zavitz, 25, of 104 Yardleywood Rd., London, Ontario, was found guilty Oct. 7 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $1,090 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Christopher John Colbert, 25, of 4252 Beattie Rd., Muskegon, pleaded “no contest” Oct. 7 to operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,090 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Avielle Marie Dahl, 18, of 4385 Indian Springs Dr., SW, Grandville, was found guilty Oct. 7 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $475 in fines and costs.

– Shawn Michael Rosencrans, 25, of 4431 184th Ave., Hesperia, pleaded “no contest” Oct. 7 to assault and battery and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail; six months probation; and $1,000 in fines and costs.

– Melissa Marie Allen, 24, of 107 1/2 Wood St., Hart, was found guilty Oct. 7 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; and $1,090 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Jose Salvador Arias, 46, of 7584 140th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Oct. 8 operating without security and was sentenced to one year suspended jail and $400 in fines and costs.

– Jason Grant Carpenter, 43, of 3769 N. Tuttle Rd., Custer, was found guilty Oct. 8 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to $1,090 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Richard Amorino, 30, of 30 Mathiasen Ave., Matawan, New Jersey, was found guilty Oct. 8 of schedule 5 drug/LSD possession and was sentenced to one year suspended jail and $485 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissals

– Ethel Anna Buchner, 51, of 523 S. State St., Hart, one count of disorderly person – drunk was dismissed Oct. 7. “Defendant served 28 days in jail in Allegan as the result of her probation violation. It is not in the interest of justice to go forward with this matter,” court records state.

– Shauna Lyn Gale, 38, of 5820 W. 7th St., Mears, one count of truancy was dismissed Oct. 7. “Since being charged, the defendant has been able to get the minor child to school on a regular basis,” court records state.

– Cesar Lopez-Ramirez, 22, of 374 N. Michigan Ave., Shelby, one count of disorderly drunk was dismissed Oct. 7. “It is not in the interest of justice to go forward with this matter,” court records state.
